Dr. Ronald Kerwin is the founding partner of Associated Dermatologists.

RONALD D. KERWIN, M.D

The founding partner of Associated Dermatologists and a clinical instructor at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Ronald D. Kerwin started as a solo practitioner in 1981 in West Bloomfield.

He received his M.D. degree from Wayne State University after earning his undergraduate degree from Oakland University. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Sinai Hospital, he finished a residency in dermatology at the Wayne State Department of Dermatology.

Dr. Kerwin is on the staff at both Detroit Riverview Hospital and Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital. He participates in the training of numerous student and resident physicians who rotate through the Associated Dermatologists offices yearly.

He was named a “Top Doc” by Hour Magazine every year from 2011 to 2019.

Dr. Kerwin lives in West Bloomfield with his wife, Cheryl. He has four children and five grandchildren.

Dermatologist Michael Dorman is available for appointments at the Atrium Medical Center in West Bloomfield, the Edgewater Medical Building in Commerce, and the Keystone Medical Center in Novi.

MICHAEL A. DORMAN, M.D

Dr. Michael Dorman has been a partner with Dr. Kerwin at Associated Dermatologists of West Bloomfield since 1993.

Dr. Dorman received his M.D. degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He received his dermatology training at Wayne State University Department of Dermatology, where he served as chief resident in dermatology in his final year. Dr. Dorman is board-certified in dermatology and has a special interest in medical dermatology.

He is a past president of the Michigan Dermatologic Society, a current member of the Board of Directors, and a member of the Third Party Payor Committee. Dr. Dorman is the section chief of the Department of Dermatology at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, and he is on the staff at William Beaumont Hospital as well as St. John Providence Hospital. He is a clinical instructor of dermatology at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Dr. Dorman was voted among the “Top Docs” in Hour Magazine for 14 consecutive years: 2005-2019.

He lives in West Bloomfield with his wife, Norma, and their four children: Hillary, Tedi, Hershel and Pearl.

LEONARD M. CETNER, M.D.

Born and raised in southeastern Michigan, Dr. Leonard Cetner is a clinical assistant professor at the Wayne State University Department of Dermatology. He has been a partner at Associated Dermatologists since 2009.

Dr. Cetner completed his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He later attended the Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he received his doctoral degree, and completed his internship at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Cetner received his dermatology training at Wayne State University, where he served as chief resident in his senior year. Board-certified in dermatology, Dr. Cetner is on the staff at William Beaumont Hospital, Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, and St. John Providence Hospital.

His practice focuses on general medical, surgical, and pediatric dermatology. He also has a special interest in:

 

 

  • Cosmetic dermatology and skin rejuvenation
  • Botox and Dysport for fine lines and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
  • Fillers including Juvederm and the Restylane lines as well as Sculptra

LEONARD Y. KERWIN, M.D.

Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Leonard Kerwin completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Following medical school, he worked on malignant melanoma research at the Laboratory of Molecular Dermatology in the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and then went on to do his internship at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Dr. Kerwin completed his dermatology residency at Wayne State University before completing his fellowship in Procedural Dermatology and Mohs Surgery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been named as a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

He has been voted “Top Doc” every year since starting at the practice in 2015.

Dr. Kerwin lives with his wife, Kim, and son, Bennett, in Bloomfield Hills.

Dermatologist Suzanne Merkle is available for appointments at the Atrium Medical Center in West Bloomfield.

SUZANNE R. MERKLE, M.D.

Dr. Suzanne Merkle joined Associated Dermatologists in 1996 as the third physician in the group. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan’s undergraduate school and subsequently graduated from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. Dr. Merkle completed her Internal Medicine internship at William Beaumont Hospital and her residency in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital.

Currently she is affiliated with Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital and William Beaumont Hospital. She participates in many clinics and instructs resident physicians.

Her practice includes medical, surgical, cosmetic and pediatric dermatology. Dr. Merkle has had extensive training and special interests in:

AARON S. CETNER, M.D.

Raised in the metro Detroit area, Dr. Aaron Cetner completed both his undergraduate and medical school degrees at the University of Michigan, earning the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha award while in medical school. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, after which he completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Procedural Dermatology under the direction of Dr. Ronald Siegle in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Cetner joined Associated Dermatologists in 2009, establishing the Mohs surgery laboratory within the practice. Since that time, he has performed over 10,000 Mohs procedures, and he has been named as a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Cetner has a particular interest in cutaneous oncology, surgical reconstruction and scar revision, but also maintains an active medical dermatology practice. He is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital, Huron Valley Hospital, and St. John Providence Hospital.

He has been honored three times as a “Top Doc” in Hour Magazine.

Dr. Cetner lives in Bloomfield Township with his wife, Emily, who is a pediatrician, and their three children.

Dr. Lindsay Sklar is our newest physician. She is skilled in Mohs surgery and many other dermatologic treatments. Make an appointment to see her at our Berkley office.

LINDSAY R. SKLAR, M.D.

Dr. Lindsay Sklar completed her Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship in addition to her Laser Surgery and Cosmetics fellowship at UC Davis and at The Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where she graduated with honors. After playing professional basketball overseas for a year, she completed her medical training at Wayne State University, where she received the Academic Achievement Award and Distinction in Biomedical Research Award. After medical school, she completed an internship at St. John’s Hospital in Grosse Pointe followed by a dermatology residency at Wayne State University, where she served as chief resident. She has over thirteen publications which include research on surgical technique, cosmetics, and the effects of light on the skin. Dr. Sklar continues to work and teach at Wayne State University. Dr. Sklar lives with her husband in Birmingham.

KIMBERLEY G. BEHRENS, M.D.

Dr. Kimberley Behrens received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and her medical doctorate from Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Behrens (nee Crone) served as a resident in anatomic and clinical pathology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (Washington University in St. Louis). She subsequently completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at the same institution.

She is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and dermatopathology, and has practiced exclusively in dermatopathology since 2007.

Physician Assistant Stacy Kato Madany joined Associated Dermatologists of West Bloomfield in 2004.

STACY MADANY, PA-C

Physician Assistant Stacy Kato Madany joined Associated Dermatologists of West Bloomfield in 2004. A board-certified physician assistant, Stacy graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to receiving her master’s degree, Stacy attended Wayne State University, where she earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology.

She joined ADWB after graduation from PA school and has always been interested in dermatology. Stacy treats established patients for conditions such as acne and warts, as well as seeing patients for routine office visits and surgical procedures.

Stacy was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills. She and her husband, John, who is a mechanical design engineer, have three sons.

Physician Assistant Maria Ammori joined Associated Dermatologists in 2007.

MARIA AMMORI, PA-C

A board-certified physician assistant, Maria Ammori graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2005. Prior to receiving her master’s degree, Maria attended Wayne State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in biology.

She joined Associated Dermatologists of West Bloomfield and Commerce in 2007. Before joining ADWBC, she worked at a nearby dermatology practice, treating patients for a variety of dermatologic conditions. Maria sees patients for routine office visits and performs many surgical procedures. She has a strong interest in medical dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology.

She resides in West Bloomfield with her husband and three sons.

Physician Assistant Jennifer Ward primarily works at our Novi dermatology office.

JENNIFER WARD, PA-C

Physician Assistant Jennifer Ward has been with our practice since 2011. Prior to that, she was employed by Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and St. John Hospital, Detroit as an emergency room PA. She is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy’s Physician Assistant program and the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Bachelor of Science in Microbiology program.

Today Jennifer works primarily in our Novi office but occasionally fills in at our other locations. Her hobbies include writing young adult novels and riding horses, and she has a passion for animal welfare. She has two grown children and lives in Berkley, Michigan.

Jessica Tacconelli is a board-certified physician assistant with Associated Dermatologists.

JESSICA TACCONELLI, PA-C

A board-certified physician assistant, Jessica Tacconelli joined Associated Dermatologists in 2011. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants. She obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Prior to receiving her master’s degree, Jessica attended Western Michigan University, earning a bachelor’s degree after studying biomedical sciences.

Jessica has always had a strong interest in dermatology, completing one of her clinical rotations with the practice prior to joining. She treats patients for a wide variety of dermatological conditions with a special interest in cosmetic dermatology. She has a special affinity and gentle touch for treating children and teenagers.

Jessica lives in Bloomfield Hills with her husband and their 2 sons.
