Dr. Suzanne Merkle is a board-certified Dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. With over 25 years of clinical experience, she joined Associated Dermatologists in 1996 and is available for appointments at our Novi location.

Dr. Merkle earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and subsequently graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School. She went on to complete an Internal Medicine internship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and her residency in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Dr. Merkle is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital and Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, where she consults and instructs resident physicians. She also enjoys teaching the medical students and residents who rotate through the practice.

Dr. Merkle dedicates her time to adult and pediatric medical dermatology and surgical dermatology including skin cancer treatment. She has extensive training and experience in cosmetic dermatology and has a passion for improving the aging face.

She uses Botox®, Dysport®, and Jeuveau® for fine lines and wrinkles and for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). She takes pride in contouring and adding volume to the face and hands using both the Allergan and Galderma products, including the Juvaderm® and Restylane® lines of fillers. She uses Kybella® to reduce fat pockets including the “double chin.” She also enjoys treating spider veins on the legs by sclerotherapy technique. Repairing split/stretched earlobes is another special interest of Dr. Merkle. She also dedicates time to creating a skin care regimen to suit an individual’s needs.

Dr. Merkle spends time outside of her practice volunteering at the Gary Burnstein Clinic in Pontiac.

She lives in Bloomfield Township with her husband, Dr. Alan Silverman, who is a cardiologist, and their three children.
